"There's an ordinary world somehow I have to find" --Duran Duran

Is this what we've come to? The grocery store must put Olay products in locked cabinets? People are stealing detoxifying pore scrub? Really? Really?

This reinforces my theory of scandalous ho's exist everywhere.

It's dangerous stuff. You wouldn't want someone to walk into a government building, peel off their heavy coat, and start shouting, "I'VE GOT DETOXIFYING PORE SCRUB HERE, AND UNLESS MY DEMANDS ARE MET, I'M GOING TO USE IT!!!"

Would you? It's better if the grocery store is careful about who they sell it to.

and you can NEVER find a store employee to open the case for the stupid-shouldn't-be-locked-up-product anyway.

at my local CVS the juveniles love to steal sprays of febreeze. not kidding that i have seen them come in, spray themselves down and walk out. WEIRD.

Ugh, my highly inspired comment seems to have disappeared, oh well. Basically, yeah, I agree, this is insane. I understand locking up condoms, as those are probably a lot more likely to be in high demand and require desperate measures, but Olay, WTF?

You didn't know about the high you can get after a good face washing?

I went to CVS recently to find $2 Suave body wash behind a locked cabinet. I left.

Did the "really really" at the end have something to do with the "Duran Duran" at the beginning? If it did, could you explain it?

justjp: I always heard that was god. Unless... wait a minute! OMG!

Gilahi: Actually, I'd LOVE it if that happened.

lustyreader: So true! Fabreeze?! OMG. Do they roll on antiperspirant, too?

Titania: WTF, indeed. And how come some stores lock up razor blades while others do not?

Dmbosstone: Live. Learn. I've got to start doing both.

Matt: Is it related to the giggling and the squealing?

restaurant refugee: But did you find another source or are you bodywashless?

Mike: Nope. Nope.

There was a recent City Pap article about CVS putting condoms under lock and key... understandable from a prevention of theft perspective, not so good from a public health perspective...

Alex: Yeah, next there'll be announcements over the PA system: "This kid wants a pack of Trojans Extra Sensitive..."
